While the album's concept is simple, it features a good sampling from Rachmaninov's major works and alternates between large and small-scale compositions, all of which give the album an unexpected amount of depth and diversity. Sonata in G Minor for Cello and Piano, Op. 19: Andante and M lodie in E, Op. 3, No. 3 are among the other highlights of this collection.
