David Lynch first adapted Frank Herbert's world-renowned science-fiction novel Dune back in 1984. In 2000, this story of a suffering galaxy desperately in need of a prophet was adapted into a four and a half hour miniseries. William Hurt stars as Duke Leto Atreides, the man in charge of a barren planet called Arrakis. His home happens to be the Universe's only source of Melange, a spice that both improves mental ability, as well as making interstellar transport a viable option. With beautiful cinematography, this Dune TV series has everything you'd expect from a full-length feature film release.
