Digitally remastered deluxe edition of this 1981 album from the Southern Rock vocalist and brother of Ronnie (Lynyrd Skynyrd) and Donnie (.38 Special). Johnny's first introduction to the spotlight was through 1980' No More Dirty Deals, a rough and tumble Southern Rock blowout that helped to establish him - and his band - as serious contenders. Getting back into the ring, their second album, titled Round Two, was produced by Skynyrd's live soundman Kevin Elson. The sound and material takes its cue from the great Southern Rock records of the 70s, turbo-charged with a solid dose of contemporary melody, bringing to mind the best work of .38 Special. Of course, Johnny's vocals are immediately recognizable and massively impressive but a doff of the cap must be reserved for the guitar work of Erik Leif Lundgren and Robbie Gay, two men intent on delivering fire-cracker riffs and stinging twin lead guitar.
